Kent Swap operates this website. Throughout the site, the terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Kent Swap. Use of our website implies acceptance of these Terms of Use and any other policies. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Platform.
We provide a marketplace for University of Kent students to buy and sell second-hand and new items. By using our platform, you confirm that you are a current student at the University of Kent. Your use of the website constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and our other policies.
Buyers and sellers must create an account using their name, university email, and graduation date. Users are responsible for providing accurate account information and maintaining the security of their login credentials. Users must not engage in fraudulent or unlawful activities. posting false, misleading, or offensive content, including cyberbullying of buyers or sellers, is prohibited. Any interference with the operation of the platform is strictly forbidden. We reserve the right to block or terminate accounts for violations such as fraud, cyberbullying, or failure to meet quality control standards.
Sellers must comply with applicable UK laws, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015, GDPR, and the Payment Services Regulations 2017. Sales of illegal goods or counterfeit items are prohibited. The authenticity of products is not guaranteed unless verified by our quality control inspection team. Sellers are responsible for delivering items to buyers within the campus area only. The platform supports in-person delivery and designated drop-off locations. We are not responsible for delivery delays or lost/stole packages once they have been marked as delivered and confirmed via QR scanning.
We accept different payment methods of cash on delivery and bank transfers. All transactions will be processed securely in compliance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCIDSS) standards. Disputes between buyers and sellers should first follow the Platform's conflict resolution guidelines. Unresolved disputes can be escalated to the site manager for a final decision.
We may update or modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of any changes, and continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
